It is very smooth on pavements and the suspension really does provide a lovely, cushioned ride for baby. We did find that it struggled a bit on grass and mud or on uneven pavements (small dips or wonky pavement slabs) and this is why we aren't certain about it being the pram of choice for young babies whose heads are more prone to being bounced around.
